NHS heroes at Broomfield Hospital will be receiving a stash of goodies today (Saturday, 23 January) thanks to a generous donation by Heybridge Swifts Youth Football Club.

With a return to football in the near future looking unlikely, the club decided that staff at Broomfield Hospital should benefit from the stock in the teahut.

Now the large quantity of snacks, treats and drinks will go towards helping the operating theatre teams, recovery unit, radiology and mortuary staff and members of the TaRTS team (who help save critically ill patients) to get through as they battle the pandemic.

A spokesperson for Heybridge Swifts Youth FC said: "We decided to donate our stock to the staff at Broomfield Hospital in thanks for everything they are doing for all of us."
