MID Essex health chiefs are reminding all those who are aged over 40 that they can now come forward to receive their first Covid-19 vaccine – and don't need to wait to be called.

Anyone aged 40-plus who hasn't yet received an appointment should call either 119 or their GP to book. Alternatively, they can visit the NHS website using the link here to make their appointment.

Similarly, anyone in the local area whose second dose of a Covid vaccine is due within seven days and doesn't yet have an appointment can call 0344 2573 961 for help to book.

A spokesperson for Mid Essex CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) said: "If it's coming up to 12 weeks since your first dose and you don't have an appointment, get in touch now.

"If you have an appointment and can't make it, please let us know as soon as possible."

You can also get in touch by visiting the Essex Covid vaccine website using the link here.
