Businesses looking for an attractive 2021 venue for events and attractions are being invited to apply for opportunities at Maldon's Promenade Park, Hythe Quay and Riverside Park in Burnham-on-Crouch.

Applications to put on events or attractions are also being invited for any other district open spaces - and "something different" could be a good thing.

Maldon District Council is advertising business opportunities for event and concession operators at the three sites - but the window of time to get applications in is small.

A spokesperson for Maldon District Council said: "Are you an event organiser, attraction operator or food concession looking for a new venue for 2021?

"If so, we are currently seeking expressions of interest from operators who would like to be considered for Promenade Park and Hythe Quay, Maldon and for Riverside Park in Burnham-on-Crouch.

"In addition, we would also consider opportunities in some of our other open spaces."

The spokesperson added: "So if you think you can offer something different which would appeal to the many visitors who visit the district and you are able to adapt and demonstrate compliance with Covid requirements, we would urge you to submit an expression of interest form as soon as possible."

However, the council has said it is not looking for ice cream concessions for any of its sites in 2021.

The 'expressions of interest' form will be available until 23 March and further opportunities may be announced later in the year. To find out more go to the Maldon District Council website at the link here.
