The following is a message from Maldon District Community Volunteer Service (CVS) Director, Sarah Troop:

"Everyone at the Maldon coronavirus response team shares the community's frustrations at the latest announcements from central Government.

"It has been a challenging year and we understand everyone was looking forward to some time with family and to celebrate this coming week.

"If your cancelled plans have resulted in a need for support with food supplies for you, your family or someone you know please remember help is still here.

"Although the response hub will have reduced hours over the festive period the helpline will be answered 10am to 2pm on Monday to Thursday this week. If anyone needs support please call 01621 851997 during those hours and let us know how we can help."
