Entrepreneurs in Maldon are being encouraged to take part in a national campaign to highlight small business success and encourage residents to shop local.

Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign which spotlights and aims to drive support for small local businesses.

Maldon District Council and Visit Maldon District will be holding a Small Business Saturday event on 4 December, and want to spotlight local businesses in the week leading up to it.

A spokesperson for Visit Maldon District, which promotes events in the area, said: "We're super keen to shout as loud as we can about the amazing small businesses in the district and promote people to discover these wonderful places in the heart of their community.

"We'll be posting about different businesses that people can visit in the week leading up to 4 December - to do this, we need local businesses to help us by getting involved.

"Simply send us a photo of you or your team stood in front of your business, or just a shot of the front of your business if you're camera-shy, so we can show off why everyone should come and visit and shop locally."

There will be a range of bargains across the district for shoppers to enjoy on Small Business Saturday.

To get involved, email [email protected] by next Friday (19 November) with a photo and any details, offers or special deals that you will be running on the day.
