A "quantity of controlled drugs" was seized from a home in Heybridge today (Friday, 11 February), after police officers executed a search warrant at the address.

Officers from the Chelmsford and Maldon community policing team said they raided the home following "community information and intelligence" and found a quantity of drugs.

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "Community information and intelligence is very important to us, which is why the Chelmsford and Maldon community policing team executed a search warrant today in relation to drugs at an address in Heybridge.

"This was a positive warrant with a quantity of controlled drugs being found.

"We will continue to act upon information we receive within the district to disrupt and prevent crime."
