Author Eddie Swan was born and grew up in London, but now lives locally in rural Essex.
He began writing short stories for his children, Jennie and Christopher, when they were in primary school.
Inspired by his love for his family as well as all of their dogs past and present, Eddie began writing The Journey Home.
Since publishing in 2022, the book has received three offers for film adaptations, a display at the London Book Exhibition 2023, and has been stocked in Waterstones.
Discussing the book and its festive themes, Eddie said: "Christmas is a wondrous time!
'Tis the season of hope and good will to all.
"A time for giving and forgiving. A time of expectation, and sometimes, the unexpected.
"This is the story of a young boy called Christopher who has been living away from home at boarding school.
"Now it is Christmas Eve, school has finished, and he must embark on a journey he'll never forget.
"He has to make… The Journey Home."
