Bengal Nights in Heybridge is holding a Neil Diamond Tribute Evening from 7.30pm, with the £34.95 ticket including a set meal of poppadom, main dish, rice, side dish and naan. 3.Driftwood Coffee House & Tapas Bar, Maldon High Street

Driftwood Coffee House and Tapas Bar on Wenlock Way are offering a Valentines Set Menu on Friday and Saturday. For £39pp, you and a partner (or friend!) can enjoy an evening of spanish tapas and seafood, followed by eton mess for dessert. The intimate venue makes for the perfect romantic evening for a good chat with your other half.

4.Rio Cinema, Burnham-on-Crouch

Rio Cinema, a small independent cinema in Burnham-on-Crouch, is showing a range of different films on Valentine's Day evening. If you fancy a romantic fantasy classic, there are still tickets available for a special Valentines showing of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, a poignant look at love affairs, breakups and breakthroughs. Don't fancy that? The cinema will also be showing A Real Pain, A Complete Unknown, and festively named horror I Love You To Death. 5.Madison Heights, Maldon

If you are fancying a local activity to enjoy with friends, Sk8ters are hosting a Girl Power Night at Madison Heights, Park Drive. Enjoy Galentines to the fullest with an evening of bottomless cocktails, beers, and bubbly, as well as a series of games and quizzes. There will also be a Karaoke Extravaganza, where you and your friends can unleash your inner Beyonce. You can even order food from the special 'Girl Power' Menu.
