It's official - Christmas Season is upon us! So pop on that blanket, make yourself a well-deserved hot choc, and get reading about all the festive events happening in the Maldon District this weekend.

Thursday

Tiptree Christmas Street Festival, Tiptree

There will be plenty of festive family fun this Thursday at Tiptree's Christmas Street Fayre. From 5pm to 9pm, enjoy live performances, meet Santa and his elves, enjoy delicious food from street vendors, browse craft stalls and dance the evening away at the DJ booth.

Friday

Motivational Speaker, Maldon 

Maldon Little Ship Club is hosting a guest speaker on Friday evening, who will discuss his adventures as a sailor and writer. Having led three international Kon-Tiki expeditions and recipient of The President of Indonesia's award for Services to Indonesian Culture, Phillip has plenty of stories to tell. Head to Hythe Quay for 7.30pm.

The Girl on the Train Production, Witham

Witham Dramatic Club are bringing their exciting production of Paula Hawkins best-selling novel, the Girl on the Train.

Saturday

Burnham Primary School Christmas Fair, Burnham-on-Crouch

Burnham Primary PTA invite you to enjoy a fun and festive Christmas Fayre on November 23, 2024! A wide range of stalls and games will be available on the day including a Santa's grotto, cakes from Lady Room Cakes, resin gifts, tombola, wacky bar game, face painting, nail painting, and more.

Maldon Carnival Magical Grotto Experience, Heybridge

Join Maldon Carnival for a magical Santa's Grotto Experience! This year, on his way to deliver presents to children's homes, Santa's Naughty Elves have decided to stop off at Heybridge to cause a bit of mischief. Head on an elf trail, making Christmas decorations, biscuit decorating and letter writing. Each child will have the opportunity to visit Santa in his Grotto and receive a gift. The grotto is available from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 3pm on Sunday.

Witham Christmas Market, Witham

Witham Christmas Market is back for its third year at Maltings Academy. 125 vendors are booked in to attend the events, so there will be lost of shopping, plenty of food and drink, kids activities and rides. There will also be live performances throughout the day.

Chelmsford Christmas Lights Switch On, Chelmsford

Chelmsford For You are excited to be launching the festive season with the annual Christmas Lights Switch On event! Enjoy an entire day of free family entertainment across Chelmsford city centre between 10am and 5.15pm. Expect a Santa Bus, Light Up Wand Workshop, Arts and Crafts Market, Chilled Christmas Yard, Street Food Stands and much more.
