AN art exhibition is currently showing in Maldon.

The 'Unlocked' exhibition at the Maeldune Heritage Centre will give a group of East Anglian artists a valuable chance to showcase their work after the struggles presented by the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the corner of Market Hill and the High Street, shoppers and visitors to the town can pop along to see the display on Tuesdays to Saturdays from 11am to 4pm. The event is running from now until Saturday, 24 October.

The exhibition features recent work by the artists Jacqueline Sugden, Evelyn Polk and Catherine Smith, who are members of the Suffolk-based group Echo Arts. The group is an eclectic mix of painters, printmakers and mixed media artists.

The group has an Instagram page (Instagram echoartsbse), a Facebook page (echoartssuffolk) and their website can be found here.

Jacqueline told Maldon Nub News: "We are delighted to just have the chance to do something positive this year."
