Slimming World consultants in Maldon are celebrating a successful year so far after helping members lose a total of 371 stone - including during lockdown.

Now they have launched a campaign to recruit more people with a passion for helping others for the "best work in the world" with special Slimming World careers Opportunity Events planned to take place 'virtually' from the comfort of your own home.

Jo Spencer, who manages a team of five Consultants who run 15 Slimming World groups in Team Maldon, says: "We're going through a period of steady growth. In 47 years, millions of people have changed their lives with Slimming World's combination of a hunger-busting eating plan, increased activity and weekly group support.

"Now, with obesity at an all-time high – two out of three adults in the UK are overweight or obese – and government predictions say that 80 per cent of men and 70 per cent of women will be overweight or obese in the next decade – the demand for our unique warm and friendly approach has never been greater.
