Maldon District Council seeks public feedback on Market Hill Clean Air Route initiative

The council is actively seeking public feedback regarding the Market Hill Clean Air Route. The initiative, launched last Summer, aims to reduce pollution in the town centre by discouraging drivers from using Market Hill.

Residents are encouraged to fill out a survey available here. The survey consists of nine questions and can be completed in less than 10 minutes.

The Clean Air Route encourages drivers to use the bypass as an alternative route to access the town, thereby avoiding contributions to pollution levels that exceed acceptable limits at the top of the hill.

A campaign video released in January highlighted support from some residents and business owners. However, public opinion has been divided, with some individuals labelling the re-route "pointless" on social media.
