Asheldham-based company Dengie Horse Feeds has been granted the Royal Warrant of supplier of horse feed to His Majesty King Charles III.

The awarding of the King's Warrant follows one granted by the late Queen Elizabeth II, which was first awarded in 2007.

The equine food company is one of 800 Royal Warrant Holders. Only individuals or companies that have made a continuing and significant supply of goods/services, ordered and paid for by the Household of the Grantor over a minimum trading period of five years, may receive a Royal Warrant.

Ian Hassard, Managing Director at Dengie Horse Feeds said: "We are delighted to have received the King's warrant.

"It really reflects the effort our team put in on a daily basis. We are very proud that this has been recognised by the King!"

Dengie Horse Feeds are one of the UK's favourite fibre-based horse feeds. Founded in 1968 as a farmer's cooperative, the farming families who founded the company still work with the company today.
