Essex Police appeal for witnesses after Burnham collision

Essex Police are appealing for witnesses following an early morning collision in Burnham-on-crouch last week.

Officers were called to Maldon Road, close to the junction of Green Lane at around 1:20 am on Sunday, January 14 following reports of a collision.

The car involved collided with a tree, causing damage to a nearby parked car.

A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of driving whilst over the drink-drive limit, failure to report a road traffic collision, failure to stop at the scene of a road traffic collision and leaving a vehicle in a dangerous position.

He has since been bailed whilst enquiries continue.

Essex Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision or have any further information to contact them by quoting crime reference number 60 of January 14.
