Farleigh Hospice has announced a special Race Night at Chelmsford City Racecourse on Tuesday July 12, to celebrate the charity's 40th anniversary.

Guests at the event in Great Leighs will have access to a private marquee with its own bar, lawn, and grand trackside terrace. There, they can enjoy live horse racing and cheer their favourites on to victory along the home straight.

Debbie de Boltz, Fundraising Manager at Farleigh Hospice, said: "The Race Night promises to be an unmissable VIP event so please get your tickets now and join us as we celebrate in style and enjoy an excellent evening of exciting live racing."

Established in 1982, Farleigh Hospice provides care tailored to the needs of those affected by life-limiting illnesses and bereavement across mid Essex.

The charity relies on support from the public and local businesses to continue to provide these services, so the Race Night is part of a 'busy' year of fundraising events and celebrations.

Tickets to the event cost £65 per person, and include admission to the racecourse, a table reservation for the evening, a race card, along with a welcome drink and a two-course buffet dinner.

Jo Flaherty, Senior Executive at Chelmsford City Racecourse, said, "We are hugely proud to be supporting Farleigh Hospice, a very deserving charity, and look forward to an evening of racing celebrating their 40 years of providing invaluable care across mid Essex."

Doors open at 3.50pm with the last race at 8.50pm.

Tickets can be booked by calling 01245 360300 or via email, quoting 'Farleigh Hospice'.
