Essex Police and Heybridge Parish Council will be holding an event next month to get bikes marked and registered for free.

The event will be held at Plantation Hall, Colchester Road, Heybridge on Wednesday, February 19 from 10am to 12pm.

The 'Bike Register' scheme is working in partnership with UK Police to mark bikes for free and deter thieves.

Marking your bike means you could be reunited with your bike in the event of it being stolen, with your details stored in a police-accessible database.
