Tess Wisbey, 48, from Heybridge, will be dominating the treadmill at Maldon Pure Gym this Saturday, raising money for Parkinson's UK.

Tess will begin the 24-hour challenge from 11 am Saturday (March 16).

She aims to raise money for Parkinson's UK, as part of her entry to the London Marathon 2024.

Tess has recently been diagnosed with Dystonia, a painful symptom related to Parkinson's Disease which causes muscle spasms and stiffness.

She describes the diagnosis as "life changing", adding that exercise has become more than a hobby for her - it is essential to keeping her mobile.

On Tess's Just Giving Page she describes how a donation will help get "vital research and support to those who have the condition", describing the condition as often isolating.

She will also be running the Manchester marathon later this year.
