Mrs Salisbury's, the much-loved Maldon Tea Room, has opened the door to its brand new location to the public today.

The new Tea Room can be found on the Markshall estate in Coggeshall, a stunning 200-acre estate of ancient gardens.

The new venue joins the local business's three other locations in Maldon High Street, Maldon Promenade Park, and Wickham Bishops.

The venue had a successful soft launch with family on Sunday, October 20, before its grand opening today.

A spokesperson from Mrs Salisbury's told Nub News of the business's "excitement" at launching in Coggeshall, saying: "It has been so lovely working with all our new colleagues for the first time and we couldn't be happier with the team.

"We're so grateful for the staff from the Markshall estate who have been so welcoming and accommodating throughout this process.

"It really is a beautiful estate and well worth a visit to experience it.

"We are now very excited to begin this chapter and can't wait to meet all our guests and hopefully make a lovely experience for them all."

Builders have been hard at work ahead of the opening transforming the venue, which offers quirky decor, wooden detailing and an overall vintage vibe.

The stylish, underwater themed bathroom and hot-air balloon wallpaper in the main restaurant creates an interesting look for the popular local businesses new venture.

Mrs Salisbury's 'Famous Tea Rooms' first opened in 2014, and have grown ever since.

The Tea Rooms serve a range of food and drink, from the classic Full English to quirky salads and cocktails.
