Maldon and District Dramatics Society (MADDS) is preparing for their upcoming play, "Agatha Crusty".

Their play will be a parody take on a well-loved crime novelist "Agatha Christie", and is being shown at Great Totham Village Hall at the end of March.

"Agatha Crusty" is directed by the society's own, Carole Hart (assisted by Aimee Hart), and is a "hilarious" whodunnit teeming with murder, suspicion and "impeccable comedic timing."

With Holly Stanhope as Agatha, alongside some familiar faces from previous productions: Aaron Gardner, Alice Mason, Callum White, Carole Newman, Karla Marie, Katie Waite, Louis Bartlett, Martin Adams and Sharon Lindsell.

MADDS will soon be rehearsing for another comedy show in August,

MADDS is a local amateur drama group based in Maldon which aims to provide inclusive community theatre.

The society told Nub News about how they've been getting on as they approach the show's opening night: "The cast have been already hard at work since the beginning of the year, and rehearsals are going very well.

"Lots of laughs and fun, as well as a genuine murder mystery to try and work through. Not one to be missed!"

Three shows will be running from March 21-23, with doors opening at 7 pm for a 7:30 pm start.

Tickets are on sale now via the MADDS website.
