Maldon author Kelvin Brown has released a second book, writing about the drama and the secrets of a rural Essex community.

'I'm not one to gossip - Tales from a small village' includes 32 interlinked short stories about characters living in a small town in the Essex marshland.

The book follows a range of quirky residents, as rumours and secrets swirl in the 'Little Bardon' town pub.

The characters are loosely based on people author Kelvin met during his 50-year career in the Essex area.

Starting as a trainee reporter in Maldon, Kelvin worked for multiple regional newspapers including Essex County Newspapers and The Evening Gazette, including a spell on Fleet Street.

This is Kelvin Brown's second book and is the first to be available in eBook format.

His first was 'The Magic of the Saltmarsh Coast', a book centred around the 'marvellous scenery' and 'rich history' of the Saltmarsh coast.

Both books are available in paperback from Amazon.
