Over 50 children came together for the Maldon Carnival annual teddy bear's picnic on Wednesday, 18 August.

Maldon Carnival and Big Sing hosted the picnic at Plantation Hall in Heybridge, after last year's picnic was cancelled due to Covid.

A spokesperson for Maldon Carnival said: "Over 50 children and their teddies attended the picnic.

"With fun and games from Tiny Sing, lollies and free strawberries courtesy of Tesco Maldon, everyone had a great time."

Carnival princess Amy was among the guests at the picnic.

The children were also visited by town mayor Councillor David Ogg and his wife, mayoress Sharon.

Maldon Carnival's Bounce Bonanza Inflatable Day, which the committee has organised instead of this year's procession due to Covid, will be held on Saturday, 28 August at Plantation Hall.
