A Maldon charity that supports young family carers is inviting people to enter a Christmas card competition to help raise vital funds.

Action for Carers, based in Brickhouse Farm in Poulton Close, has a deadline of Friday 4 December for the competition, with a £3 entry fee.

Different age groups from children through to older adults can take part.

There are prizes and any cards that entrants don't need returned will be sent to one of the carers the charity supports.

The Christmas card can be made from any materials but must be no bigger than 21cm by 21cm in size, though it can be smaller.

Names of entrants need to be written in pencil on the back of the cards.

Anyone who wants their card returned to them should include a stamped addressed envelope with their entry.

You can find the entry form and more details by visiting the Action for Family Carers website here or the charity's Facebook page here.

The charity is also currently running a sponsored 5k in five days challenge which ends on 5 December.
