Maldon Drama Group triumphantly returns to the stage

Maldon Drama Group has returned to the stage with its first post-lockdown production - The Ladykillers.
The group's rendition of the classic black comedy tale opened last night (Thursday 15 October) to a full crowd.
The group had been rehearsing a Shakespeare play when lockdown hit, but members knew that they wanted to make residents laugh when they could finally return to the stage.
This led the group to decide on hit comedy The Ladykillers, which was originally released as a film in 1955.
The production follows the plight of an innocent old lady, alone in her home, who is pitted against a gang of criminals who will stop at nothing to have their way.
You can come down to Maldon Town Hall, on Market Hill, to catch the final two performances of the comedy today (Friday 15 October) and tomorrow (Saturday 16 October).
The show begins at 7.45pm, and doors open at 7pm.
