A fire crew from Maldon was among those who tackled a blaze in Great Totham over the weekend.
Firefighters were called to an outbuilding fire in Great Totham on Sunday evening (17 October), after the control room at Essex County Fire and Rescue Service received numerous calls about the blaze.
Four crews - from Maldon, Tiptree, Witham and Great Totham - attended the incident.
On arrival, the fire crews confirmed that an outbuilding on Rookery Lane was completely alight.
Despite water supply issues, crews worked hard to extinguish the fire by 11.01pm.
A spokesperson for Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said: "An investigation will be carried out to determine the cause of the fire."
Maldon Fire Station is currently recruiting on-call firefighters, who are paid to respond to emergency incidents as and when they happen.
If you live or work within five minutes of an on-call fire station, you could become an on-call firefighter.
You also need to be over 18 years of age and physically fit.
