Maldon gets a new firefighter as nine Essex recruits complete their training

Maldon has gained a new firefighter in the latest nine on-call Essex recruits to complete their training.
Alistair Fuller will be joining the crews at Maldon Fire Station in Wycke Hill after he and eight others from across the county finished a six-week training course with Essex County Fire and Rescue Service that started in January.
The service's newest recruits learned core skills such as ladders, water pumping and dealing with road traffic accidents.
On-call firefighters come from all walks of life and are of different ages and genders. If you live or work within five minutes of an on-call fire station, are over 18 and have a good level of fitness you could apply to be an on-call firefighter. For more information visit the link here.
