Maldon hub will offer walk-in jabs tomorrow morning as latest figures show impressive vaccine take-up in the district

THERE will be a walk-in clinic at the Maldon vaccination hub tomorrow morning (Friday, 2 July) between 8am and 12pm for anyone aged over 18 wanting their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.

The clinic at the Maldon District Council offices in Princes Road, Maldon, will be open to people regardless of which GP practice they are registered at.

The move is part of the 'Grab a Jab' campaign aimed at getting as many people as possible vaccinated before the possible further lifting of restrictions on 19 July.

People aged over 40 and above can also get their second dose of vaccine is they first on or before Friday, 7 May.

Latest Government vaccination data for Maldon district shows that 84.7 per cent of adults aged over 18 have now had their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, with 67.5 per cent having had both doses. These figures compare with an England average of 75.4 per cent of adults having had their first jab and 55.8 per cent having had two.
