Maldon Promenade Park is in with the chance of winning an award given to the UK's and best destinations, attractions and shops.

The nomination is for a brand new category, Best Family Experiences, at the Muddy Stilettos Awards 2025.

The Muddy Stilettos annual awards aim to celebrate each region's most-adored small and independent businesses.

Nominations opened on February 25 and close on March 13, with the top five most-nominated businesses in each category going through to the regional finals.

A spokesman for Maldon District Council said: "We are delighted that Promenade Park has been nominated for a Muddy Stilettos Award. This nomination is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff, as well as the support from our community.

"We would like to extend our thanks to everyone who has nominated the park already and encourage residents to support the park by nominating it on the Muddy Stilettos Awards website."

Maldon Promenade Park, while not only being an idyllic location for a stroll through nature and along the River Blackwater, offers a number of attractions for families.

The new Galleon Pirate Ship and Sensory Garden play areas, alongside Maldon Splash Park, the Petting Zoo, and the Pirates Bay Crazy Golf, make it a perfect day-out location for both residents and those visiting.
