Members of the Maldon Promenaders are encouraging residents to attend their 39th show - On Top of the World.

Produced by Lin Stables, you will be taken on a journey around the world - hopping on the Marrakesh Express on route to China, with many stops along the way.

We then hop across the Atlantic to America, travelling Route 66 and stopping off at a number of cities before returning home.

This year, the Promenaders are raising funds for two local and worthy charities - Maldon Pioneers and Harbour Support Group.

Both charities provide social support to the lonely and vulnerable within the Maldon area.

Over the years, the Promenaders have raised many thousands of pounds for local causes, in particular those charities that don't receive national funding.

The Maldon Promenaders started in 1982 raising funds for the Plume School, but went on to entertain the people of Maldon while raising funds for local good causes.

Some of the original cast members are still performing today.

The "Prommies" have a great time rehearsing for their annual shows and can certainly entertain you for the evening.

The show is set to take place at Maldon Town Hall, on Market Hill, on Friday 26 November at 8pm and Saturday 27 November at 2.30pm and 8pm.

Details of ticket sales can be found on our website at http://www.maldonpromenaders.org.uk/ or on our Facebook page here.

There may be some tickets remaining that can be purchased on the door.

We have a licensed bar, with all proceeds going to our two charities.
