The future of road policing in the district: just one week left for residents to make their views known in online survey

MALDON residents have just one week left to make comments on the future of policing on the county's roads in an online survey.

The Government is currently reviewing roads policing and what the future of traffic law enforcement may look like. As part of this review, the Department for Transport is trying to find out what makes a difference and how resources can be used most effectively.

To support the review, a national public survey designed to understand public perception of road safety and roads policing is taking place.

Essex Police are keen for local people to complete the short online questionnaire.

A spokesperson for Essex Police said today (Wednesday, 23 September): "There is less than a week to go for those who live, work and travel in Essex to complete this survey and have their say."

The poll is aimed at gathering local communities' thoughts on law enforcement on the roads, risks to safety and fixed penalty notices.

The results will be used by the Department of Transport to support future planning.

People have until Wednesday, 30 September at 5pm to complete the survey. Have your say and complete the survey here.
