REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY – JOIN US IN REMEMBERING
Maldon Town Council and Maldon & Heybridge Branch of the Royal British Legion warmly invites residents and visitors to join them for our annual **Remembrance Sunday Service** on **Sunday 8th November 2026 at 10:50am**, at the War Memorial outside All Saints' Church, Maldon High Street.
Together, we will honour the courage, service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces, remember their families, recognise our emergency services, and pay tribute to all those who gave their lives in defence of our freedoms.
The service will include:
• Wreath-laying ceremony
• The Last Post, Exhortation and Silence
• National Anthem
• March past of veterans, services and local cadet groups
This year, we are pleased to welcome the **Essex Caledonian Pipe Band**, joining the parade with the kind support of the Maldon & Heybridge Branch of the Royal British Legion.
Poppy Drape at the Moot Hall
Our beautiful poppy drape will once again adorn the Moot Hall, featuring 5,000 poppies lovingly attached by more than 60 volunteers, in a design by the talented Wendy Munnion. A wonderful tribute to our community's spirit of remembrance.
Wreath layers should report to the Royal British Legion Parade Marshal at the bus stop outside All Saints' Church at 10:30am.
High Street will be temporarily closed from 10am to 12:15pm to accommodate the parade and ceremony.
We hope you will join us as we come together as a community to remember.
