Essex Police are continuing their investigations into the death of a woman in Heybridge.

Emergency services were called to an address in Hillary Close around 10.15 am on Wednesday, July 10 following concerns for the welfare of a woman.

Sadly, a woman in her 40s was found dead at the scene.

Her death is being treated as unexpected.

A 48-year-old man was subsequently arrested. He has now been released on police bail, with Essex Police continuing their enquiries.

Essex Police report remaining "open-minded" as to how the woman died, with several lines of enquiry being progressed.
