Maldon Mud Race 2025 welcomes back PGR Builders as sponsor
PGR Builders and Timber Ltd have agreed to once again support Essex-based charity, Maldon Mud Race, for the annual race on Bank Holiday Sunday on May 4, 2025.
The iconic race is already a sell-out for runners and trade stands.
PGR opened its Maldon branch behind Morrisons in early 2021, with a further eight branches across Essex including Rayleigh, Basildon, Romford, Harold Hill, Southend, Brentwood, Braintree and Chelmsford. The company supported the race last year, with a number of team members racing across the muddy banks of the River Blackwater.
Operations director Paul Massenhove said: "Our staff are once again keen and ready to participate in the race this year, and we hope we will improve on last year's times!"
He continued, "We are so proud of the guys for taking on the challenge and representing the company for such a wonderful cause."
The company have opened a Just Giving Page, and have asked for donations to help them support the charity. If you would like to donate you can do so in branch or by going to the Just Giving Website.
PGR will be raising money for Essex charity Havens Hospices, alongside the other local charities endorsed by the Mud Race.
Chairman, Brian Farrington said, "The support of local businesses like PGR allows our team to plan and create something special for the local and wider community."
He added, "To support us again is really something. PGR Builders & Timber Ltd will bring down an impressive delivery truck and lots of freebies for all the family and join other prestigious names such as Savills Estates, Wilkin & Sons Tiptree and Tesco Maldon.
"We find sponsors really enjoy this great day which gives a chance to mingle with residents and visitors as well as other local businesses."
He continued, "BBC Essex will run our stage and sound output and we are planning a range of exciting additions to the weekend which are yet to be revealed but safe to say we are absolutely thrilled to be sold out so early in the year for runners !
"We know the 2025 Maldon Mud Race will be a superb day out for families and enthusiasts from across the area."
The Maldon Mud Race is free for spectators and will be held at Maldon Promenade Park from 10 am - 7 pm on Bank Holiday Sunday, May 4 2025.
Alongside this spectacular Race, there will be a wide range of artisan food available as well as all-day music, plus large screens for a great visual experience.
A few remaining sponsor opportunities are available but all trade stands are sold out.
