Police appeal for witnesses after boy is stabbed in the hand in Southminster

Maldon police have appealed for witnesses after a teenager suffered a knife wound to his hand in Southminster High Street yesterday (Tuesday, 23 February).

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "We were called by ambulance colleagues at around 4.30pm on 23 February to an incident in High Street, Southminster.

"A 14-year-old sustained a stab wound to his hand. He has been taken to hospital for treatment.

"A man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and is in police custody."
