ESSEX Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following yesterday's road crash in Heybridge Approach, Maldon.

A blue Jaguar F-Type and a grey Hyundai i30 collided shortly before 1.15pm on Monday, 23 November.

The 84-year-old driver of the Hyundai was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver and passenger of the Jaguar suffered minor injuries.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "We'd like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the collision, or the cars shortly before it happened.

"Witnesses and anyone with dash cam footage is asked to contact us quoting incident 532 of 23 November.
