Police appeal for witnesses following an allegation of assault at Plume Academy

Essex Police is appealing for witnesses following an allegation of assault in Maldon.
At around 2.30pm on Wednesday, 12 May, the victim was in a group watching a school football match at Plume Academy on Fambridge Road, Maldon.
It was reported that a man, who was walking past, jumped over the school fence and punched the 17-year-old to the side of his head.
The man was last seen heading towards Checkers Lane.
He is described as aged 30s, 5ft 9 or 10 ins tall with slicked brown hair. He was wearing a grey jumper and blue jeans.
He was in the company of another man who was around 20-years-old and they were walking a dog.
Anyone with information, who witnessed the assault, or who can identify the man described, is asked to contact Essex Police on 101 quoting crime reference 42/88178/21.
