Postman John: MP visits Maldon Royal Mail Office ahead of Christmas

Sir John Whittingdale visited the Royal Mail Delivery Office in Maldon to meet staff sorting the mail before setting out on their delivery rounds with the Christmas Post.
Sir John said: "The run up to Christmas is always particularly busy for the Royal Mail and the Posties in Maldon are doing a fantastic job, working flat out to ensure that all the Christmas greetings and presents arrive in time.
"It was great to be able to thank them in person as well as to be able to save my own postie a journey by picking up my post for that day!
