Suspected class A drugs were seized by Kent Police last night (Wednesday, 18 August) from an address in Maldon's Poets Estate.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: "At around 1.20pm on Wednesday 18 August 2021, officers entered an address in Marlowe Close, Maldon, where they seized significant quantities of suspected Class A drugs.

"A man and woman were arrested on suspicion of drug supply offences, with connections to areas in Kent.

"They remain in custody.

"Due to concerns over fumes coming from the property, police at the scene attended neighbouring properties on the estate to give precautionary advice to shut windows."
