Sounds rang out collectively on promenade

Local News by Nub News Reporter 5 minutes ago

MORE than 100 singers from local community choir The Sound Collective came together for a spectacular charity concert at the amphitheatre in Maldon Promenade Park recently, raising more than £1,000 for local charity Action for Family Carers.

Led by Musical Director Emma Durrant, the concert brought together singers, families and members of the community for a vibrant afternoon of music and entertainment, completely free to attend.

The event was extremely well attended and featured a special sea shanty workshop led by a sea shanty expert, creating a lively atmosphere that had audiences singing along and joining in throughout the concert.

The concert showcased the incredible spirit of community singing, with choir members of all ages and backgrounds performing together in one of Maldon's most scenic outdoor venues. The afternoon was supported by a fantastic turnout from the local community and Crisp Photography captured a series of stunning photographs from the event.

The Sound Collective is now preparing to begin a brand new choir term with new songs and exciting performances ahead, and new members are always warmly welcomed.

The Sound Collective is a welcoming local choir with sessions in Maldon, Tiptree, Chelmsford, Danbury and Ingatestone. It's known for its inclusive and uplifting approach to singing and community events.
