MALDON'S Museum of Power will be holding an Essextraordinary Steampunk Market tomorrow (Sunday 20 September) from 10am to 4pm.

The event at the popular attraction in Hatfield Road, Langford, will be held on the museum's large show field with stallholders selling steampunk Victorian and sci-fi clothes, jewellery, crafts, crystals and jewels, toys, cards and stationery and artwork.

The market will also feature creations from the museum's blacksmith, printing society and woodturning experts.

The Steampunk Essex League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and a magician will be explaining the evolution of steampunk and providing details of how to get involved in their future activities.

An owl display and intriguing engines will add to the occasion.

On top of all this, the museum itself will be open, with the triple expansion pumping engine and others operating on steam.

The Astaria Model Village will be open to view and the Steam Pump Tea Room will be selling food and refreshments, in addition to other caterers on the field.

Full government Covid-safety guidelines will be in place.

Parking is free and dogs are welcome on leads. Entry prices are £3 for adults, concessions and children five to 15, with under-fives free.
