IT'S been another seven days of big news stories in Maldon, from the success of Fiver Fest in the town, through to news that we're all heading into a new national lockdown situation.

1. While everything is about to change again in this ever-shifting pandemic situation, Essex County Council did announce how it was planning to support local business with money allocated to the county because of the introduction of Tier 2 'High' level restrictions – and how £5million extra would be added to the pot from county council funds.
