HOUSING is a hot topic these days - and now Maldon District Council wants residents to give them an honest view of their own housing goals in a bid to shape future plans.

A random sample of households from across the district are being asked to take part in the confidential survey and will be sent a form to post back in a prepaid envelope.

The idea is to get an up-to-date picture of the housing needs and dreams of people in all kinds of housing currently – and all those who do not receive a form are still encouraged to take part by accessing

the survey online here

The council is working with a company called Iceni on the project, and all information provided will be kept strictly confidential.

A spokesperson for the council said: "We are interested in getting a full range of views, from home owners as well as those who rent from a Housing Association or a private landlord. Whether you are planning to move house or not, the information is important, as it will help to give a balanced view of housing in the area.

"The council will not see any of your individual replies, nor will any of the information you give be passed on to any other agency or market research organisation."

For full details of how the council and Iceni will use your data visit the Maldon Council website and the Iceni website

Anyone who needs help with any of the questions or wants to discuss the questionnaire can telephone Justin Gardner on the freephone number 0800 470 1025.
