Applications received

  • Construction of four bungalows, Burnham-On-Crouch

Construction of four chalet-style bungalows and two detached garages on land rear of Mill Farm, Stoney Hills. Application number: 23/01203.

  • Erection of eight dwellings, Southminster

Amendment of past planning permission, from the erection of seven dwellings to the erection of eight dwellings with garaging removed. Land adjacent to 55 Kings Road. Application number: 23/01187.

  • Extensions including swimming pool and outbuilding, Woodham Walter

Construction of single-storey side and two-storey side and rear extensions. Extensions to the first floor to include a balcony. New patio including swimming pool and pergola. Single-storey side extension to outbuilding including alterations to fenestration, installation of solar panels and EV charger. Bassetts Lodge, Bassetts Lane, Little Baddow.   • Bin store installation, Maldon North

Installation of new timber-clad bin store within the car park at The Old Ironworks, Fullbridge. Application number: 23/01133.

  • Erection of two dwellings, Cold Norton

Approval of the erection of two, four/five-bedroom detached dwellings, both with carports and private amenities, with the construction of a new access road. Land adjacent to Thornfields, Purleigh Grove. Application number: 23/00491.

  • Rear extension and alterations to existing dwelling, Heybridge West

Granted listed building consent for a single-storey rear extension of the existing outbuilding. Alterations to existing dwelling and outbuilding, including the reconstruction of the porch and two windows in the front elevation of the dwelling and the replacement of rainwater goods and replacement window of the outbuilding. Woodfield Cottages, Heybridge. Application number: 23/01011.

  • Foliage removal, Burnham North

London Plane tree reductions, Horse Chestnut tree reductions, Lime tree reduction, and Pine tree reduction. Holyrood Lodge, Green Lane. Application number: 23/00998.

  • Tree felling, Heybridge Basin

Leylandii group and Laurels group fell. Daisy Meadows car park access road, Basin Road. Application number: 23/01058.

Applications refused

  • Construction of industrial unit, Burnham South

Construction of an industrial unit with associated parking on land at Station Industrial Estate, Station Approach. Refused due to visually intrusive form, potential harm to residential amenities and failure to provide adequate parking provision. Application number: 23/01017.

  • Erection of two dwellings, Latchingdon

Erection of two, two-storey semi-detached three-bedroom dwellings, including three single detached garages. Land at Springwood, Rectory Lane. Refused due to the site lying outside of a defined settlement boundary and the development resulting in the urbanisation of an area of rural character. Application number: 23/00951.

  • Claim for a lawful development certificate, Latchingdon

Claim for a lawful development certificate for the existing use of garden land associated with Thatch Cottage for more than 10 years and use of access both pedestrian and vehicular from Burnham Road. Land adjacent to Thatch Cottage, Burnham Road. Refused due to a lack of "sufficient evidence to substantiate the claim of existing use". Application number: 23/00937.

  • Listed building extension reconstruction, Steeple

Demolition of existing rear extension and erection of single-storey rear extension. Rosedene Cottage, The Street. Refused due to the development resulting in harm to the special character of the listed building. Application number: 23/00933.
