Two people arrested in Maldon High Street on stolen vehicle and drug offences

Two people have been arrested in Maldon High Street after Maldon Town Police Officers stopped a suspected stolen vehicle.
Officers stopped the silver Nissan Navara on Monday October 28.
On search of the vehicle, a bat and what appeared to be Class B drugs were found.
A 25-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, both from Braintree, have been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, possession of an offensive weapon and possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.
Both remain in custody while Police continue their enquiries.
