VISITORS to the popular Valley Play Area at Maldon's Promenade Park are being asked to limit their visit to one to two hours to help every youngster get their turn.

Having re-opened this week, the children's area with its distinctive pirate play apparatus is sure to prove popular in the remaining summer days ahead – and the need to maintain social distancing on the equipment means Maldon District Council is keen to ensure nobody is disappointed.

In a reminder to park users that changes are in place, the council has asked visitors to:

• limit the time you use the Valley Play area equipment

• keep to social distancing rules

• follow any advice or guidance given by park staff

• clean your hands before and after using the play area

• don't enter if you are feeling unwell.

A spokesperson said: "We are expecting the area to get busy with the sun coming out, so we ask families to be sensible and follow the national guidance."
