Ways to mark Remembrance Sunday in Maldon this year

AS there will be no Remembrance Service at the town's war memorial this year due to the second national lockdown, there are a few different ways in which local residents can now pay their respects.
Maldon Town Council and Salvation Army have prepared a Remembrance Service video to be released on Remembrance Sunday (tomorrow, 8 November) at 10.30am. There will be a two minutes' silence at 11am.
It can be viewed here This will include snippets of history, photographs, the names of the Fallen from World War Two and interviews with veterans.
Alternatively, St Mary's Church in Maldon will be livestreaming a special Remembrance Service.
It will featuring Fauré's Requiem at 10am tomorrow. It will include the Act of Remembrance, with the two minutes' silence at 11am. Anyone can watch by going to the parish Facebook Page here.
There will also be a national 'doorstep' Remembrance with two minutes' silence on Remembrance Day (Wednesday, 11 November) at 11am which residents are encouraged to join. Maldon District Council will also release a pre-recorded Act of Remembrance on social media.
