Friday 10 February

Charity Bake Sale at Tesco Maldon, 9am until 2pm

Staff at Tesco Maldon will host a charity bake sale on behalf of their 19-year-old colleague who is currently battling cancer.

Prosecco and English Wine Tasting at Quayside Wines, Burnham on Crouch, from 6pm until 8pm

Saturday 11 February

Family Valentine's Charity Disco at Plantation Hall, Heybridge, 6pm until 8pm

Two residents will host a family disco in aid of Farleigh Hospice, as they prepare to run the London Marathon for the charity this year.

Tickets cost £2.50 when purchased via Eventbrite in advance, or £4 on the door. Raffle tickets will be on sale at £1 per strip, and soft drinks will be available for a donation.

Story Time and Crafts at Maldon Library, from 10am

In partnership with Adult Community Learning, Maldon Library is delighted to invite families to its new monthly session for ages 3 and up.

Each session will have a fun theme with an interactive story and linked craft activity.

SK8*SX Valentines Special Roller Disco at Sk8ters, Madison Heights, Maldon, 7pm until 11.30pm

Featuring DJs Rugged N Baldy, this Valentines special is open to over-18s only.

Intermediate Litter Pick at the Blackwater Estuary, at Blackwater Sailing Club, Maldon, 10.30am to 1pm

This event is part of a series of regular events in partnership with The Rivers Trust, in which they will survey the catchment area of the watercourses across four areas in Maldon.

Please wear appropriate clothing and wellies are advised as it can get quite wet when you step off the trail.

Refreshments will be available at the end of the litter pick.

We will be picking up volunteers Burgess Well House, Coval Lane, Chelmsford CM1 1FW at 9.50am and will drop off at this location after the event.

Blacksmithing Taster at Now Strike Archery Ltd, Heybridge, 10am to 1pm

Spend three hours in the forge learning from a Blacksmith, as they guide you through the process of metal wizardry to make a bottle opener and drink holder.
