Thursday
Maldon Books is excited to welcome best-selling author Sarah Wyndham Lewis to the bookshop, for a discussion on her latest book, 'The Wild Bee Handbook'.
This event will take place in Maldon bookshop at 7pm. Guests are welcome to arrive from 6.45pm to get a drink and get seated. Sarah's Book will be available to purchase and get signed at the end of the night. You can purchase tickets directly through Eventbrite or in the shop.

Friday
Christmas Craft Fayre, Witham Town Football Club.
Christmas craft fayre at Witham Town Football Club, CM8 1UN.
Doors open at 2pm-9pm, and will offer 26 stalls including Christmas gifts, cake stalls, tombola, and food and drink.
First 150 get a free present from Santa (£2 a visit)

Saturday
Wreath-making workshop in Langford, Christmas Bazaar in Althorne, and multiple Quiz nights in Maldon.
Wreath-making workshops at the Museum of Power, Langford
Make your own hand-crafted Christmas wreath, with all the materials provided. Seasonal refreshments included. Only £30 per person.
Book via website. £10 deposit and please bring remaining £20 on the day. A child is welcome to participate in the crafting session free of charge with a paying adult. Facilitated by Essex artist Paula MacGregor.
The workshops will be held over two weekends, on November 18, 19, and 26. Each session will run from 10am until 3pm.

Christmas Bazaar at Church Hall, Althorne
Althorne's annual Christmas Bazaar will return on Saturday 18 November at the Church Hall from 11am until 3pm.
Browse a wide range of Christmas decorations, books, gifts, and puzzles. Tuck in to a delicious mine pie or a hot sausage roll, accompanied with tea and cake.
Games on offer include a raffle, a tombola, and 'Guess the Name'.
The event is being held in aid of the St Andrew's Church Fund.

Quiz Night at Maldon Town Hall
7.00 for 7.30pm start, Tickets £7.50.
Teams of six, but if you can't make up a full team they will fit you in.
Bring your own drinks and nibbles!
All proceeds to the Brent restoration fund.

Christmas Quiz Night at West Maldon Community Centre
The annual Christmas Quiz Night will return to West Maldon Community Centre on November 18, featuring a bumper raffle.
Quizmaster Kevin Briggs will be taking the reindeer reins, setting a wide range of questions.
Teams of up to eight people are welcome. Entry costs £5 per person - under 16's can take part for free.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own drinks and nibbles.
The quiz starts at 8pm, and will end at around 10.15pm. There will be prizes for the winning team and for the team with the lowest number of points.

Chelmsford Christmas light switch on 2023
Chelmsford For You is excited to launch the city's festive season with the annual Christmas Lights Switch On event.
Join us Sunday 19 November on Chelmsford High Street for an incredible day of free family entertainment between 10am-5pm.
Expect Christmas market stalls, street food stands, Free Glitter bar, Free Light-wand crafting, Christmas tree stage, light switch-on and firework display.
