Book Talk, Maldon

Camilla Herrmann and the Friends of Thomas Plume's Library invite you to a talk: "Sailing Around the UK." The talk will be held in The D'Arcy Room at the All Saints Church at 7.30pm. In this talk, Camilla will describe the cultural highlights of her sail across Britain, and explains that reaching them on your own boat gives a sense of satisfaction that you never get on a tour bus. Entry is free.

Blackwater Sailing Club, Maldon

The Blackwater Sailing Club, one of the leading clubs on the East coast is pleased to announce that Sheena Berney, Commodore, will be hosting the Open Day on Saturday. The event will be an opportunity for sailors as well as those curious about taking up the sport to learn about the club's vibrant sailing activities, social events and how to get involved.

Quiz Night, Maldon

Head to the West Maldon Community Centre for a quiz with quizmaster Kevin Briggs - the last one of the season. Teams of up to 8 members, £5 per person with under 16s going free.. Bring your own drinks and snacks.

Disco, Cold Norton

After Eight Social Club are holding a Disco dance on Saturday 17th May at Cold Norton Village Hall. Music from all the decades. Starts 8pm Admission £8 members £10 non members. No bar so bring your own drinks and nibbles.

The Essex Bus and Coach Show, Maldon

The show is a day with all things bus and coach related. Exhibits from across Essex and East Anglia from various years. Never been on a bus? Or are you a bus enthusiast? Then why not have a ride around on one of the routes that will be offered on the day. There will be bus related stalls, bus and engine exhibits, food vendors, bus related crafts, rides and activities.
