MALDON'S Christmas lights will be switched on before an evening of town centre shopping on Thursday, 26 November, the town council heard this evening (Tuesday, 15 September).

The switch on will happen at 5pm and local shops will stay open until 8pm.

POLICE have confirmed the sudden death of a woman at Fullbridge, Maldon, this morning.

Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to a home in Mill Lane, Maldon, at 9.40am today.

REPORTS of an air and ground ambulances at Fullbridge, Maldon, today (Tuesday, 15 September) appear to be linked to the death of a local person.
