FOOTBALL pundits were quick to praise Maldon and Tiptree after they bowed out of the FA Cup at the hands of Football League Morecambe today (Sunday, 8 November).

The Jammers gave their all in an extremely close tie and late in the game had a couple of chances to at least force extra time, but in the end they went down by the game's only goal, which came from the penalty spot two minutes before half time after keeper Ben McNamara conceded a penalty converted by Adam Phillips.

Maldon & Tiptree gave Kingstonian, one league higher than them, a Halloween to forget as they dumped them out of the FA Trophy.

Two more goals for the in-form Shomari Barnwell (pictured) and a second goal of the season for Hamza Kaid, ensured the Jammers ghosted past Kingstonian and in to the next round on what was a very wet October afternoon.

The draw for the 4th Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup has been made and Maldon & Tiptree have been handed a home draw.

Following Tuesday night's cup upset against Braintree Town, the Jammers have drawn at home against Haringey Borough from the Isthmian Premier Division, as they look to reach the First Round of the competition for the second successive season.

A hat-trick from inform striker, Adam Vyse (pictured) resulted in Maldon & Tiptree finishing victorious over Felixstowe & Walton in the Isthmian League Division One North, to maintain their unbeaten start to the 2020-21 season. Vyse, a new-recruit from Brentwood Town has now scored five games in just three games over the last week for Maldon, following goals against Grays Athletic and Canvey Island respectively.
